Former gardener slams book’s claims on Queen’s view of Trump

Gardener: book's claims on Queen Elizabeth and Trump 'disrespect her memory'

King Charles’ recently retired gardener has expressed anger over claims in a new book that late Queen Elizabeth found Donald Trump “very rude.” Royal author Craig Brown’s book, *A Voyage Around The Queen*, alleges that the monarch “particularly disliked” Trump’s habit of looking over her shoulder as if searching for someone more interesting.

Jack Stooks, former gardener to the King, voiced his displeasure when asked if the book’s content disrespects the Queen’s memory. He stated, “I think this completely does disrespect her memory. There doesn’t seem any point or reason for this to have come about.” He added, “To start claiming such things about someone who has passed away, without allowing them to defend themselves, is unfair. We know the Queen never put a foot wrong during her reign. Why would she suddenly make such a mistake late in life? It’s just ridiculous.”

a news agency host Patrick Christys queried Stooks on King Charles’ likely reaction to such inflammatory headlines. Stooks responded, “Oh absolutely, he’ll be annoyed. I don’t understand why someone would want to undermine the late Queen’s legacy. Throughout her career, she was amazing. To have someone trying to ignite controversy now, especially while the monarchy is dealing with so much, is not right.”

Christys also asked Stooks if royal family members shared private information with their staff. Stooks explained, “We forget they are a family. Like anyone else, they have personal conversations with people they trust. For instance, the Queen might ask her daughter about her outfit for an event. People overhear such things and think it’s great that the Queen was so normal.”

The Queen met Trump during his tenure as US president. She hosted him and his wife Melania during their visit to the UK.
