Michigan police find human remains on husband’s property
Human remains have been discovered on a property owned by Dale Warner, the husband of Dee Warner, a Michigan woman missing for over three years and presumed dead.
Dee Warner’s family reported her missing on 25 April 2021, according to Michigan State Police (MSP).
MSP detectives from the special investigations section found the remains on a Lenawee County property during a search warrant execution on Sunday.
“Recovery and identification of the remains are underway, requiring extensive testing,” MSP stated.
MSP has informed Dee Warner’s family about the discovery.
“This investigation remains active,” MSP added.
Dale John Warner, 56, faced charges of open murder and evidence tampering in November related to her disappearance. He has pleaded not guilty.
Family members revealed to local TV stations that the remains were located on Friday in a sealed, empty tank intended for anhydrous ammonia, a fertiliser.
An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
Dee Warner, 52, was last seen on the morning of 25 April 2021 on a road in Franklin Township, roughly 70 miles southwest of Detroit. Since then, she has had no contact with family or friends.
Dale Warner is currently held in the Lenawee County Jail, with a pretrial hearing set for 4 September.
“We await confirmation that the remains belong to Ms. Warner,” Dale Warner’s attorney, Mary Chartier, told Fox News Digital. “This seems to be another tragic chapter for those who loved and cared for her.”
