My wife said, "The daughter wants to know what phone carrier you use."

I replied, "AIS."

"She wants your phone to sign up to Disney+."  For me not a problem, handed over the phone.

About two hours later, the son comes home for the weekend from uni.

Your whole family gets to use the same membership, right?

I mean, with their own individual accounts but all on the same payment.

I know that Netflix and Apple TV+ work that way. Up to six family members can use Apple TV+, Apple Music, Apple Arcade etc.

Ah, from the article:

Quote

1 account will be able to stream simultaneously on 2 devices.

... so, not as generous out-of-the-box, but perhaps you can add additional streams at a discounted rate.

The AIS deal is excellent, well worth getting it for a year anyway. Both seasons of The Mandalorian were excellent.

Our daughter is at home or at uni in Bangkok, while our son is in uni in Hat Yai...so separate for them, one account, from what I understand.

Yes, as I understand it the two simultaneous streams don't have to be to the same IP address. I think most of the streaming services intentionally allow for the fact that families might not be living in the same place. Of course, I'm not 100% sure about Disney, just guessing that they follow the same template.
