I try to remain courteous at all times, and firmly believe human affairs/interactions are best done within the realm of politeness and good manners.

However, at times, I cannot.

Here's hoping that Hun Sen's plane crashes on arrival into the General who lead the coup; taking them both out at once would be a gift to Humanity.

Throughout the history of that savage child species, the human, they have always been conducted at the point of a gun/spear/sword/cannon; no change there  then.  Never make the mistake of believing the propaganda that says that humans are 'civilized', they are far from that.

All I can think of is Pol Pot and the killing friends. It is an unforgettable image. So Cambodia brokering peace.... Burma only experienced democracy for a few short years after so many years of a military junta.

Most of the comments here reflect standard western media Brain Washing. Hun Sen has brought Cambodia forward over the past 30+ years from a War torn Country like Syria to a prospering country it is today. With his experience to keep not only Thailand and Vietnam but also the US at distance from grabbing Cambodia he has also understood the Value of ASEAN and the need to separate it from western global power games. He has the ability to reign in Myanmar and it's Junta and the will to share his experience in developing a functioning democracy (asian style based on Konfuzism) without prostituting itself to western countries.

What an absurd statement. Konfuzism has nothing to do with gangsters, mass murderer dictatorship regimes it is the opposite, konfuzius say exatcly the opposite that everybody has to go after them even when it is their own father. Read first Konfizius before abuse Konfuzius for dirty games! By the way Taiwan is aware of konfuzius, too.

The UN assembley rejected the terrorist junta in Myanmar as a legitimate government. They are official a terrorist organisation and international as terrorists who are a illegal government same as the IS terrorists. So everybody who meets them can be recogniced as sombody who meets with terrorists.

And thats official now by the UN

Your knowledge of Cambodia and Hun Sen is amply illustrated by your idea that Cambodia is "a functioning democracy (asian style based on Konfuzism) without prostituting itself to western countries".

There is no "democracy", asian style or any other;

... while not "prostituting itself to western countries", Hun Sen has sold the country to the Chinese;

... as for Confucius, little could be further from Hun Sen's way of operating.

Not remotely correct.

While the UN haven't recognised the military's authority in Myanmar and the Security Council called for restraint and an end to the violence, they have absolutely not declared them a terrorist organisation.

That's simply totally incorrect and without any basis in reality.
