Russia v Ukraine - How This Is Going To End
IMO the Russians are not interested in the 'whole' of Ukraine. To invade the west of the country would tie up hundreds of thousands of troops and commit to a war that would last years. The west are fllooding into these parts and TBH, my contacts inform me that once the coastal area is liberated, and a buffer zone created, they will hold it and protect the people from more Azov atrocities. They will leave the rest of Ukraine to be shared and looted by the western agencies. Zelensky' hands are firmly tied in this conflict. He overplayed his hand, and must now take his lead from the west; US and UK primarily. These two are anti-Russian in the extreme, and are leading the world into very dark times. NATO is simply the US in disguise. As much as I feel for the Ukraine people, Europe as a whole, and indeed much of the world will be plunged into chaos over this.- 1

Foreign tourist no issue. Main target are local Thais. I have experience travelling with a Thai Friend and she was taxed for carrying a new Gucci bag into Thailand. -

Since the cash, undeclared, is 20k, but equivalent to 20kUS$, my guess here is: some mix up! Either in the report or in the knowledge of the customs. And looking at the 70k baht fine, the value goes more to the 20k US. Still it does not explain, why personal belongings get "fined" (taxed plus fine would be the thing to do, IF...), So my guess here: to many times the same item, perhaps? Selling intention obvious? Or simple a customs scam for money, someone checked, where it went? -
