Russia v Ukraine - How This Is Going To End
This is utter nonsense Mr Guphz. What is this 'sides' you are talking about? Earlier you asked why Ukraine should invade itself. Since the illegitimate coup in 2014, there had been a systematic shelling of the breakaway regions to force the civilians out. They were Russian speakers, and many did leave their homes and go to Russia. The Ukraine military, and politics, are infiltrated with the far right. The wanted to control the Donbas region, but didn't want the people. Now many thousands of Ukraine soldiers are trapped. Soon forced to surrender. They - the Ukraine government and military - thought the west would come galloping to their rescue. Although there are sanctions - that, incidentally, hurt the west far more that Russia - and the UK (especially) ramping up the war-talk, this is not going to happen in any meaningful way. The military aid that the US has promised is unlikely to even get to the Ukraine military. The 50 billion is simply to boost the US weapon manufacturers and their undercover agencies. And it has to be paid for. The Ukrainians will be indebted to the US for many years. -

News Forum - Expect more floods coming up this weekend in most of Thailand
In Chiang Mai and surrounding provinces the rain finally eased early evening although runoff was still cascading down from the hills. Chiang Mai city and suburbs flooded in low lying areas, anything from a half a metre up to 2 metres in a few locations. Similar levels to 2011. Flood levels seem to have peaked around midnight although water has nowhere to go and is only slowly dropping. Mahidol road & Hang Dong road south of the airport experienced up to 5cm surface water with some runoff pouring through low level shops. I've walked around some residential areas and seen new homes that had 5cm of water thru lower levels, pools filled with brown silt, mud and stones across gardens and driveways. Soi's still ~40cm/18" deep in water, was 75cm during the night judging by tide marks on walls. Lakes, khlongs and obviously the Mae Ping river are all swollen, full, and will take a day or 2 to drain away ... south.
