The event, which will take place virtually on December 9 and 10, has invited 110 participants, according to a list published yesterday from the US State Department. It is obvious why Thailand was not included, but Joe Biden actually invited Taiwan ?  WOW !!   That says a LOT.  Good for you Joe - that is a great thing to do for all the western world of Democratic countries.

Now if you could just go a little further and impose ever increasing trade and economic sanctions on all non-Democratic countries where the military has taken over illegally, and also on all those that do not do the same within a few years, then maybe the world will become a more 'democratic' place - certainly many SEAsian countries will be.

It makes me smile that the inclusion of 'Taiwan' is a big slap to the fat face of Xi Jinping

In this case the Digital Minister and the local representative (not am ambassador) of Taiwan wont even raise a ripple.
