Will my insurance policy bought in the UK be accepted for the Thailand pass?

We've bought our travel insurance for our trip next year from the UK and it includes COVID-19 medical cover for a sum that far exceeds the Thailand pass requirements. The provider has provided a separate covering letter stating this in addition to the insurance certificate.

Would this be accepted or is it compulsory to go with one of the Thai providers such as AXA?

Thanks

Yes, that will be OK.

When you apply you submit the cover letter

I bought my insurance from World Trips because the insurers listed by most travelers would not insure anyone over the age of 75.  World Trips insured me at age 76 and the policy was issued by United Health Care.  I submitted it and my Thailand Pass was approved this morning.  I have my QR code.  No problems.
