Thai professional mixed martial artist Loma Lookboonmee was beaten at a UFC event on Saturday. The fight was held in Las Vegas, where Loma faced Mexican opponent Lupita Godinez at UFC Fight Night 198. Loma is the first and only Thai to compete in the American mixed martial arts promotion company Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Thailand has a rich martial arts history. She should be proud. I know many in the USA love and respect muay Thai style fighters. MMA is a different animal altogether. Requires a multi disciplinary approach. Grappling and boxing mixed with muay Thai leg strikes would be a great combination
