Why after almost 2 years is the issue of migrants, legal or illegal only now being discussed? For most of this year large outbreaks all over the country have been blamed on migrant workers and yet only now is it seen as important. The government is always way behind the curve in identifying the real causes of the Covid emergency in Thailand, preferring to get uptight about a small number of tourists rather than the hundreds of thousands of migrants from neighbouring states. It seems like this country is run by wholly unrealistic individuals who prefer their own agendas rather that adopting rational policies.

Thais have to be paid correct wages, therefore too expensive to employ, more profit for the boss with migrants. It's all about money.
