That is interesting. Old news? I think that I remember this opening from a year ago. Also: Wasn't the old prison in use as a field hospital, already last summer? If the prison is just opened now and already 85% full, what did they do with the inmates since last summer? Questions and more questions. -

Is this rule still valid?
None of those three countries get a 30 day visa EXEMPT entry careful mixing up entry types there's a big difference between a visa waiver entry and a visa exempt entry Cambodianz gets 14 days Laotianz and Vietnamese gets a 30 day visa WAIVER (not an exempt entry) Those other countries I listed Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore and Indonesia ALL get 30 day visa exempt entries and are all allowed as many as they want by land crossings -

Phnom Penh(Cambodia), Non-O based on Child/Marriage
that is 100% incorrect you can indeed get a Non-O visa based on marriage to a thai or being over 50 (retirement) issued at MOST immigration offices in the country for 2000baht. You meet the financial and document requirements and you have the required days left on your tourist visa or visa exempt entry stamp (as the application goes under review for 2 to 3 weeks depending on the office) then you go back and get the new Non-O and a new 90 day stamp inked in
