There's a few things to note when reading this article. Firstly, Thailand isn't know as the Land of Smiles for nothing! Have you ever seen so many people with braces on their teeth? All trying to create the perfect smile! Second, take a look at the premises of the dentists....palatial! Built on the money of people, seeking the perfect smile. Thirdly, this has gone beyond dental health. It's now in the realm of cosmetic surgery...not dentistry....

And many of the dentistry owners have become so wealthy that they are branching out into other businesses. I heard that one such person is going to create the Bangkok equivalent of that famous Paris nightclub and it will be called here the "The Molar Rouge" 🙂

Not that it's at all interesting to comment on an advert, but health tourism used to be a great source of income for Thailand.

And on the subject of braces, in western countries they are used on young teenagers as that's most effective. Here they are applied mostly in adulthood when people have the money for the treatment, hence it's much more noticeable.

And I have no problem with medical facilities that are built to a high standard. I'd rather go to a clinic that invests in the building, properly maintains it, invests in education, staff, equipment and preventative hygiene measures. But for those who don't want that, there are plenty of other low priced ones too.
