I just do not see how a younger party minded demographic is what is necessary for tourism to flourish.

Because old-timers don't go to bars for boom-boom right?

Am old and cannot understand how all these youngsters have money to travel and party.  Wealthy parents?

I came a lot late teens, 20's moved here in my 30's.

Full moon parties, Kai San road and even KoSamui was full of younger people with no family, mortgage etc.

Thailand was cheaper than having a holiday in Australia or Europe.

And better.

Patts is for older types.

9,000 people infected per day, a week before reopening. I’m sure there is plenty  of coughing going on.

Not 9.000 people per day.

It's 9.000 people out of the group of approx 40.000 that they tested.

That's nearly 25% and if that were a random test that means 25% of the country could be infected, that's 17 million!

As they test mainly problem areas, they find a higher percentile than what would be average, hopefully.

But don't mistake the published figure for countrywide actual infections! It's no more than an indication of what they found in the test-group!

And that's just one day. By the end of the week the whole country will have it.

According to your methods.

Yes, if you quote out of context to create a misguided argument.

My point: it's not just 9.000. And it's not a random test, so you can't apply 25% either.

Not everyone will understand, so don't break your head over it.

I'm not that interested in Bangla Road anyway. I'm just looking a for a good beach holiday without the drunken yahoos (especially the tourists). I'd rather sit in a comfy chair at Kamala with my girl, sipping cocktails/wine and eating beautiful Thai food as the sun sets over the water.

Agreed

I am not going to argue with you Bob.

Whatever you reckon mate.

Stay safe. It is dangerous out there with all these infections.

By November at that rate we will all be infected a second time!

To be honest I miss being a drunken yahoo (email?) Or yobbo skolling cold frothies and Tequila shots in air conditioned comfort while naked silky skinned petite glamours dance for me.

I find it very entertaining.

And pigging in to some beautiful Thai street food before falling into bed.

Can't wait to get back amongst it. That is what I have most since this spicy cough took over the world.

So do it and let others do what they want to do, why be such a misery?

Poor form Thaiger.

Nightlife has just started bouncing back All these people that you supposedly I have empathy for that have been largely out of work for almost 2 years finally can put food on the table again and you compromise it by posting this sarcasm filled rubbish headline

This will do nothing but draw negative attention(and possibles raids/closures) because technically they’re bending a few rules a few weeks ahead of the anticipated announcement

If anything you’ve just helped put more money in police pockets

Unnecessary.

Bars in Phuket have been open for months.

Yep some with live bands etc.

You would think they would at least report Phuket news accurately.

People believe what they read and would be put of coming here. It is a bit off TBH. They are doing potential customers and local businesses a disservice.

Notice the ''cough'', I am sure this is a tongue in cheek report from Thaiger.
