Hahahaha .. I forgot about that Mr Sofa .. I was gonna suggest one of these but on second thoughts you might get mistaken for runway landing lights at night and have a plane land on your back .. 

Personally only a tank or jet pack would be my preferred mode of transport travelling that far ..

I woke up this morning to find a plane on the roof of our house.
I'd left the landing light on.

You're all on report for grouting the rules and I'll have to drill the FG's into you all for that night on the tiles.

BS,  my builder mate is from down Dorset way and his very first job was renovating a stone house ... He's the one who gave me the tile drill bits.   Homepro don't carry them, gotta go to a specialist store, and everything is made in China these days.

I have a Chinese made screwdriver drill bought from MR DIY, for 1035 bt, which was used for all fitting off of this new house and it's still going strong 2 years later.  Makute, (sounds like Makita) is a major industrial power tool manufacturer and exporter.

I feel the thing about Chinese goods is that they're virtually all made down to a price, not up to a quality. That's from bitter experience. Having said that I feel it can be luck if what you buy is any good or not.
You obviously got a good product, but knowing what's what isn't always easy.

I posted on here recently about 'genuine' Philips clippers I bought (as claimed in an online message), only to find they were a Chinese copy with a Philips label on them.

Even genuine Philips product is most likely made in China.  Like Makita/Maktec - both products may be made in China or almost any of Makita's global factories.  They make very little in Japan. 

The Maktec product is built down to a price with less features and shorter warranty yet most internal components are identical to Makita.  It gives them a wider market share. 

Caveat emptor applies more and more nowadays and consumers should rely on reviews or personal recommendations.  I checked out a Baan&Beyond power tool range that looked good 'on special' only to find there were no spare parts available, eg no extra battery for cordless, let alone a replacement and their rep agreed it was a 'disposable' product line.
