Moderna just got a boost as a booster as experts advising the US Food and Drug Administration recommended the vaccine for use as a booster shot even for those over the age of 65 and at higher medical risk to Covid-19. The unanimous vote will likely lead to the FDA approving the recommendation and passing it to the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention who would specify who should receive the shots in the US. The recommendation was made on Thursday to the Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee of the FDA. The CDC is scheduled to meet next week where […]

This is factually incorrect. The FDA approved Moderna for use as a booster for existing Moderna recipients in certain groups only. The US FDA or CDC have not said anything about mixed vaccines or approval of same. There are studies in place that may lead to Moderna and Pfizer being used as boosters for J&J but that is not approved.

As more countries get their vaccination up, the more advance countries are taking booster for the fully vaccinated. Apparently the anti-bodies has dropped and waned off after 6 months of being vaccinated and the level of  protection has dropped. A booster is apparently required to increase the anti-bodies again. Question is will this be a regular 6 months boost for the rest of our life and how long will the country pay for all these booster shots?

By "country" I'm assuming you mean "taxpayers". The shots will keep being free for as log as the taxpayers don't realize they're the ones footing the bill. (Although, outside the US the taxpayers have already made that bargain so no worries...)

There will be a time when government will say that these booster shots will have to be paid by the citizens or residents in the future, even though its tax payers' money now. I am just looking at when is the timeline for these "freebies" to stop.
