News Forum - Thailand sets sights on “wealthy foreign tourists” to recover economy
Well, it wasn't the wealthy tourists that put Thailand on the map and built things up to its glory year after year after year and supported the poorer Thai. It was the middle class and ones who saved up to take trips who came here and spent time after time after time. who in the he** do they think helps to support all the street level Thai folk and businesses as tourists? -

News Forum - BREAKING: Bars reopening in Thailand’s “Green” and “Blue” Zones, changes to Thailand Pass
OK so for the month of June, Thai nationals can freely enter and exit with no vaccine or testing requirement. Foreigners still need insurance + either proof of vaccination or a PCR or ATK test. Or you can come in with just insurance and do the ATK test on arrival. This is an improvement, but I wonder why they decided to discriminate against foreigners here. It does look like they will scrap the entry restrictions for foreign nationals (other than maybe insurance) come July 1 though. It's worrying that the emergency decree continues until the end of July. At first I thought they might only extend it another 15 days until mid-June as that's what the news hinted at (a short extension) but now it's been extended not just for one month but two! This emergency decree looks like it will never end. -

News Forum - Travellers will still have to wear face masks post-endemic phase in Thailand
Wrong. I reported that both Malaysia and Singapore have scrapped OUTDOOR mask wearing mandates, but indoors they're still enforced. Another guy claims Changi airport has scrapped the mandate, but this is highly unlikely as otherwise it would have been all over the news and I didn't read anything about it. Singapore is still very strict on indoor mask wearing. I'm not ready to wait 5 years for Thailand to scrap mask wearing. At today's CCSA meeting it doesn't sound like they've decided to scrap even the outdoor mandate. -

News Forum - Thai deputy health minister expects Covid-19 to be over by the end of the year
Anti maskers and their ilk probably complained about having to eat their vegetables and not being allowed to stay up late as children. Now they are all grown up they complain if they get the clap and blame it on the condoms being too small. You don’t like? Move.
