Perhaps they should have built this one then?

Yes. One building in the USA as opposed to literally hundreds in China means its all the same.

Indeed my sink in the toilet here in Thailand got choked up and I had to use pearl caustic to clear it.

This demonstrates without doubt the Chinese sinks are far superior to Thai ones owing to the fact that one sink here is the same as many millions of sinks in China.

Very droll ! The reality is in terms of poor quality products pumped out of not only China is that they are produced to the specifications of the order contract in the case of many many consumer products as a result of the greed of importers and associate retailers.

That has created the myth of everything Chinese  made is rubbish. If that is so why have  components for military US aircraft been sourced  from China?

There now exists a repeat of the US led bias that was dominant in the 1950's that by political agenda was reversed in later decades that due to historical acumen of Chinese sense took best advantage of that now invites belated attempts of/at suppression while denying the corporate greed of the West that initiated the opportunity.

The response to the Chinese success in outcome has been attempts of military intimidation in opposition to economic infiltration of global economies that were previously ignored  or suppressed by "leading" nations.

In recognition of the reality that as a rising economic contender China has rapidly developed a military defense capacity that despite propagandist claims from either side is debatable as to superiority.

Personally I am currently unable to conclude as to the merit of any political philosophy due to biased current pervasive ideology and the blatancy of the lies  or ambiguity it presents .

Everyone, everywhere, has bought something from China which proved to be defective.

Thats not western propaganda. Thats actual experience.

Every engineer from germany or europe who had to go to for their company to a chinese customer is shocked about chinese standards and quality. It is all crap and this will tell you every technician or engineer from europe. Compare anything from China to any tech or product from germany or europe the chinese is pure garbage and cheap low quality copies. You really have zero knowledge about any tech, engineering. But surly thats why they need all the machines, advice, tech from germany and are the biggest customer of them because their standards are more than 50 years or more behind germany, not innovative, no quality management. By the way China is listed as a development country and everybody educated in europe knows why when they they see their low level standards with their own eyes. You should go to a germany company or construction side, engenerring companies and then go to China and see their low level garbage. 2 different worlds.

You are one who never was in a production in China and doesn't know where all this machines and compenents are coming from. There is no tech invented in Chin all comes mostly from western countries! Trans rapid shanghai 100% germany every single part, trains/ speed trains tech from Siemens, car industry everything mostly germany and europe but everything from abroad. Do you have any tech knowledge how a I phone or huawei is produced in China? All tech and compenents from abroad just they put the compents from the supplier together. Tech inside from every computer produced in China is from abroad. No microchip is from China. They not even have a own gps. All tech they use in China came from China or invented in China all came from western countries. Electricity, light, trains, tv, computers, phones, cars, planes, etc etc all from western countries. Zero China. Just look where the machines comes from for their productions. Chinese fairy tales propaganda and knowledge are 2 different worlds!

China's property market and its huge mounds of debt is unravelling as we speak.  There could be serious consequences for Thailand as so many Chinese investments here...

I am sorry to say you seem blinded by ignorance of  facts. It is true the Shanghai Maglev Rail  was developed and built by Germany and was the very first commercial use of the technology in the world.

Initially other high speed rail involved many imported components but over time China quickly designed and developed it's own systems such as the CRH trains with minimal imported components.

As for the import of foreign tech and machinery? As far back as 2009 the Chinese Govt. proposed that anything sold to the State was to be manufactured entirely by locally developed tech and machinery. It was the foreign companies that massively objected and the Chinese Government backed down on the proposal. It is those same foreign owned companies that churn out low quality export items and profit the most while promoting the  "blaming" of China.

It is a strange idea to somehow deny China the adoption of technologies from whatever source. Perhaps Iraq should be compensated for the global use of the wheel? Japanese automobile manufacturers denied any right to build cars etc? Does China need to be held to account for the millions of deaths in global wars because they invented gunpowder? Should any Nation be permitted to permanently monopolize all and any item or technology that was originally from that nation? Is the expiry of patents unjust?

So ok...turn out the lights in China. Who need care about the impact on the global economy , the cessation of cheap consumer goods etc ?

The collapse of China's economy has to do with the quality of toilets?   Let's try this simple theory... China' Government is communist and their economy is capitalists',,,  They do not compliment another. To paraphrase Abraham Lincoln " A house divided against itself cannot stand" an inference to two very distinct systems..

And I suspect the Chinese will treat what Abraham Lincoln said with exactly the level of out of context credence it deserves

Any crumb of comfort that the China haters can glean from any source whatsoever will do. They arent so discerning or honest.

Yes its a bit like they can not face up to the fact that China will shortly be the preeminent worlds economic nation and they are grasping at straws to turn back history.

You are definetly know nothing about engineering and tech. And you don't know anything about the tech inside a Chinese high speed train and where the tech comes from any tech produced in China and I mean for sure any. The companies outsourced their productions to china also the supply chains. Outsourced means it is not Chinese tech or developpments. The machines and engeneering all from abroad. Even when they moved some engineering units to China because of the regulatiins. For example I know German companies they outsourced their productions inclusive a engineering unit because of the laws or regulations. You will see there not even one chinese engineer inside their and if there is one with a asean looking he had his education or university in Germany and worked in Germany before. Please not talk anything about engineering or tech and the productions in China if you have no knowledge about and your sources are not the reality and from the fairy tale propaganda Bejing.

China's early high-speed trains were imported or built under technology transfer agreements with foreign train-makers including Alstom, Siemens, Bombardier and Kawasaki Heavy Industries. Since the initial technological support, Chinese engineers have re-designed internal train components and built indigenous trains manufactured by the state-owned CRRC Corporation.

Oh really?

You have really no knowledge and another fairy tale. Did you ever heard something about patents? And who is engenerring the tech for Siemens and under who even there are cooperatiins because of the regulatiins in China. Everybody who works in that fields for a european company in Asia knows you guys are really nuts and brainwashed and believe any chinese ccp nonsense but have no knowledge about productions in China and any tech. Even Voljswagen had to make this cooperations but there us nothing developped from any chinese engineer for any production in from Volkswagen in China. And sure this companies would agree that they copy everything or redesign it. It is really incredible what this Xi fanatics chinese nationalists an utter garbage are writing.

Why bring Bangkok Skytrain in to the debate? I have made no association of it with China. Quite a different thing to the Sino-Thai high speed rail construction. Or is it being Siemend too?  And yes the assembly of Iphones is indeed from components made in many places all over Asia mostly. Is the assembly poor quality? Or is it just an example of an over priced item from a Company taking advantage of low labor costs?

While I have no idea why you presume to tell me I have no knowledge of machinery or tech I feel compelled to inform you that I am a qualified Engineer with training and design experience in Light to Heavy manufacturing Plant with further training in Plastics Technology.

On 27 July 2009, Chinese Ministry deputy chief engineer Zhang Shuguang stated that the United States, Saudi Arabia and Brazil are interested in Chinese high-speed railway technology. July 28. The Federal Railroad Administration and the US government are negotiating on the introduction of Chinese railway technology. On 14 October 2009, Prime minister of Russia Vladimir Putin and the Russian Railroad Administration signed an Organizing and developing railway in Russia memo with Ministry of Railways of China, planning to build a high-speed railway from Vladivostok to Khabarovsk.

Dont see anyone signing agreements with anyone else. Why is that?

You  really should have a shot at Japan's Toyota too then. Research how they reverse engineered several imported cars to become arguably the worlds best motor company.

By the way...patents expire.
