In that case i think they should confront him with the victims so they can see what they did.. and I think he should be embarrassed all the way, he is just not man enough to confront the reality, maybe he need some meth 🤔

The victim’s son admits he wants a reenactment so he can have a CONFRONTATION.
That can’t be good.
Some cooler heads in the RTP have recognized that a confrontation/lynch mob is a PR and social distancing nightmare waiting to happen.

I think the purpose  of reenactment serves at least 4 purposes

1) strengthens the prosecutions case with a videotaped step by step confession

2) shows the community that the police are active and that the alleged perpetrator has been found so life can go back to normal

3) try to ensure that the arrested party is really the perpetrator of the crime, not someone paid to take the rap

4) Perhaps public humiliation but most seem to wear motorcycle helmets nowadays. I wonder why? /s

this guy didn't have remorse on his face. So, what was the beating for? why just enjoy the time and move on, this guy watched too much rough porny.  People need to be nice to each other, nothing is free in this world. If you want to have fun, pay for it and move on. No need for other drama stuff that can affect the victim, her family, society.

In Thailand a lot of crimes in the past have gone un punished, due to the amount of money and number of sorry's said to the victim, if this guy has money or his family and friends send him big money this may get stopped before court and only a deportation recommendation!   Please note I said "may"

Well lets hope it doesn't happen in this case. He is a guilty as hell and they should dispense with the trial and go straight to sentencing which should be a very long stint in a Thai prison (no cushy American prison for this low life) .

I'm sure his fellow inmates will be ready to welcome him with open arms.

Ted Bundy and Ted Kaczynski had high IQs. Maybe banning people named "Ted" would be as effective.

My name is not Ted. But then my friends are actually named Theodore, Teddy or Edward will have no problem. So ok.

apart from the tragedy of rape being explained, in my view the English needs to improve, this does not fit to any standard of grammar, neither an English or an American.  I am not criticizing anyone but i see improvement in dramatizing or explaining it. thanks.

There is a legal procedure, if you do not use that procedure then you might as well join the "Hang 'em High" brigade, if that happens it is for sure an innocent will pay for something they didn't do, no matter how the evidence stacks up.

This bloke we know is in deep sh_t, but he must still go through the legal procedure because that is what civilized folk do...

And in this case you think he deserves his day in court to winge about how the drugs made him do it. He confessed, they found the motorbike and the  clothing in his apartment. He nearly beat a women to death and molested at 13 year old with intent to sexually abuse her. He will get time in court to plead guilty and straight to sentence.

Rapid justice is preferred. If he wants he can't wait in jail for years for a Thai judge to hear his case, but confessing is faster and usually the sentence is half , then he'll be deported as an old man.

Well, time has created a legal system where everyone gets their day in court, stringing folk up from lamp posts is now only seen in a few countries still living in the dark ages.

About 50 years back I did Jury Service in the UK, a couple of cases, the blokes were obviously guilty, but they got their day in court, and rightly so. They were still sent down, one was to be deported after serving his sentence. 😊

I know you are right but it just grinds that he will plead it's not his fault as the drugs or some other factor was to blame and that he's really a good guy. As the saying goes , if you can't do the time, don't do the crime . Let's hope Thai justice doesnt let those victims down.
