Luke Joshua Cook was arrested by police at Suvarnabhumi Airport in December 2017 with his Thai wife Kanyarat Wechapitak with whom he ran a small business empire in Pattaya. Both were subsequently charged, convicted and sentenced to death. Both were released from prison this week with Mr Cook being deported back to Australia.

He claims that he wasnt a Hells angel and was nt involved with them and that he ran legitimate businesses and that he was  framed .

The main suspect was released from a life sentence under mysterious circumstances  and hasn't been seen since .

This guy may well have been innocent of all charges

Royal Thai Police suppressed the gang in Pattaya after the gruesome murder of Schneider in 2015

The notorious offshoot of the Australian biker’s gang was suppressed effectively by the Royal Thai Police in Pattaya after the murder of Mr Schneider by members of his own gang following the failed drug trafficking scheme.

5555555555 Some old farang with motorcycle gang can not beat the Thai Pattaya Police gang.
Sure.
Can not.🤣

Of course he beat the Pattaya Police, and the Thai justice system. He is now back home in Australia.

What age must he be to be an old farang?

From 1st hand witnesses, including the other guy who also was mysteriously released and deported, this guy was up to his eyeballs in it. His bar wasn't doing well, HA members were customers and living in rooms above the bar, he borrowed a huge amount of cash (from the murdered guy) to make a drug deal but was seen dumping the drugs overboard from his yacht when a Thai patrol boat spotted him. (Some of the drugs later washed up on shore near where he'd been seen by the patrol boat dumping "something" overboard.)

Obviously he couldn't pay back the ($10 million according to the news stories) and the guy who lent him the money gets murdered. Cook drove at least of the guys who did it (and was living in one of the rooms above his bar) to the Cambodian border after the murder.

One of the other witnesses was a former police volunteer (hork, spit) who ended up having to flee the country when it turned out he himself was involved in a (human) trafficking ring.

Lots of articles on the 'net from the time it was all going on. I remember the whole bit about the murder and how they found the guys who did it (and the victim) because one of them rented a truck for the job and didn't realize it had a GPS tracker in it which lead the cops to the body.

No worries. Quick name change and new passport. Change the nose,  wear different coloured contact lenses, change the hair colour and be back in Thailand in a year or so.

Of course there are some who think the guy was lily white and totally innocent "because he's a nice guy".
(Shakes head slowly.)

I've always wondered why guys with US $10 million available need to get involved with illegal activities and risk jail or death
