The Thai PM is being sued for 50 million baht by a restaurant group which is also representing 39 other restaurant operators. The Bangkok Post reports that the Never Ending Summer Co has filed a class-action suit against Prayut Chan-o-cha, seeking compensation for financial losses endured as a result of the government’s alleged mismanagement of Covid-19. The Civil Court issued a statement to confirm receipt of the lawsuit, with an online hearing via Zoom scheduled to take place on November 9. Isn't everything covered by a Covid 19 amnesty no fault blanket for them? And even if it doesn't, he won't pay it as it will be paid from someone or something else.

how many local business have suffered in phuket sandbox by being mislead with broken promises,most hotel and restaurant were either shut or gone out of business.the few who reopened, spent their last bit of money on stock,staff and ongoing bills.and was told to expect 100s thousand of tourist ? the same happened in bangkok when pm said restaurants will open in 2 weeks time a month ago,nothing happen.and why he want a new law to disqualify government official facing lawsuit

They can pay it from the Governments Covid Relief Budget. I assume that’s what it’s being used for 🙃🙃

Throwing their money away with legal costs, they can never win or every government in the world would be in the same boat.

Sure 50 million is probably just a few minutes at the money trough of government corruption but they will never see one Baht.
