"Ms Nitiya, says she normally only rents cars to foreigners"    Reverse racism.

Plenty of it around in Pattaya and Phuket, particularly with car and property rentals.

By the sound of it, with her saying " "Now I still have to bear the burden of paying 17,000 baht per month for one of the cars, but I have now been deceived out of two cars which will be sold” adds Nitiya." she was still paying for at least one of the two cars on higher purchase, which she still has to pay, so they may well not have been fully insured for rental - again, not unusual, and the other company involved appears to have done exactly the same.

and, inevitably, the usual accuracy in re-writing from Jack Arthur.

It's not "a car rental business" in Phuket that has been scammed, but a number of them. The one named in the article (two are named in the source and apparently there were more) is only one of the companies scammed and lodging a complaint - and apparently not the only one that was paying in instalments and didn't have the vehicles fully insured. 😂
