Anyone have any experience with this mob?

DeeMoney

Specifically, I'm looking to transfer some baht back to Oz to help out my old man, hopefully directly into his bank account.

Failing this, any other methods I could look into for getting Baht back to Oz?

Western Union has been upping their game of late. Check out: https://www.westernunion.com/th/en/send-money-to-australia.html it seems to do what you're looking for.

Thanks very much for that link, great to see some competition in this area. 99 baht transfer fee, that's pretty good.

I'd automatically ignored WesternUnion as they had been so expensive to use in the past, and I didn't think they offered this service either. Good to see they're getting with the TransferWise/Wise program!

oh my apologies how horrid of them :(

They've been promising for years but still nothing. WU has managed to graft itself (no implications or pun intended) to a few big banks so is now part of the system. Wise, as it's now known, hasn't gotten an in yet.

Use Transferwise (Wise now) regularly but only coming to Thailand.  Super efficient, transfers in 3-4 hours bank a/c to bank a/c.

He is right- it rocks!
