Sadly, many women from Asian countries fall for this and travel to Dubai for what they see is a good opportunity to earn money in a 'spa'. The reality - no salary whatsoever, but they have to do sex work to earn 'tips' and pay back the spa owner, who has used a dodgy agency to get them there and withholds their passports until they have repaid the debt. Withholding passports is illegal under UAE law, but so is sex work, so who is going to call the police and risk being imprisoned, fined and deported? Modern day slavery and trafficking for sex by any other name.
