"Tom Yum Heinz baked beans on toast."

1/2 of 480ml serving of Tom Yum paste into roughly 240ml of Heinz baked beans. Heat & stir.

Shark Brand Sriracha added for heat. Lime for color.

Place on toast of choice.

Nutritional yeast for yeasty goodness.

ruined it with the tom yum and fruit and brown bread

Me, me I can!!

I was in Vancouver Canada though, not Thailand

And had the pan and the butter browned real quick

But, even though this was a mistake, I enjoy a grissled egg in noodles

But if Bacon and eggs, I like a proper, buttery white egg.....

PS....Kind of a dick move to be critical in this thread though, no?

It's how Thai's like it, same as small fish out of dams and rivers except they're sun-dried before deep frying to a crisp.  I won't eat the fish but crispy eggs are ok as long as the yolk is runny!

I love Liver & onions - with some mash of course.

I haven't eaten any liver here though, as my trust in meat quality here is not as high as I would like.

Is there any imported liver available here?

Growing up

My Irish-American mom, not known as the greatest cooks....

Would fry the bacon in a cast iron pan.

Then fry the egg in the bacon grease

Completely black and grissled

Wasn't a huge fan of that

But like the crispy edge on eggs on noodles and rice

paleorobbie.com do a great Tasmanian, Pasture-fed Beef Liver. They deliver anywhere, but unless you are in Bangkok, you'd best order more than liver to cut the cost.

I order it regularly.

My wife doesn’t profess to be that much of a cook, well she can’t after seeing the following.

But she recently bought a couple of ‘cast iron’ like metal dishes. You heat them up, small amount of oil and place meat/ fish etc on them together with vegetables and season to taste.

Cover with a pan lid. After cooking leave the lid on for a couple of minutes or so.

Then put the metal dish inside the provided wooden holder and transport to the table… with luck the food stays hot until you have finished eating.

I like it better if the veg are slightly brown, well don’t have much choice really

Non stick pan, several tablespoons of water and low heat and cover.  The only way you can screw it up is boil off all the water...

I use a cast iron frying pan, the only downside is I need a block and tackle to lift it.

What I am suggesting is a shallow poach which will work in a cast iron pan.  Just make sure you cover the bottom of the pan with water and cover to create steam.  Loved my cast iron frying pan...IMO the best cooking pan for even heat..great on the stove top and in the oven.
