According to a Phuket news story. The island has 76% of its population  vaccinated ! Isn’t that the number or very close to the number needed for herd immunity and yet crucial numbers such as  hospital bed occupancy is suspect !
Who are driving these numbers,

migrants and poor mitigation contingencies.I think so imop.

Here’s a bold prediction herd immunity in Thailand, isn’t the answer to eradicate the poison from China ,as long as migrants ,soft borders and Govt  inept contingencies continue to exist imop

They said they needed to vaccinate 466k.  they only got to just over the 420k 1st jab and only around 360k 2nd jab..  so nowhere near the so called herd immunity.. they are also rolling out now astrazenica booster jabs for double jabbed with sinovac..

Don't hold out for herd-immunity. It's not going to happen with the vaccines we have.

But when a large part of the population is vaccinated with an effective vaccine, the numbers of very sick and deaths are limited and the risk becomes more manageable.
