Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam says the new law will give the government power to declare a state of public health emergency without invoking the general state of emergency order .

That means more power to the government .

It depends on how and when they want to use this law ...

A ' state of public health emergency ' will enable them to impose tough regulations on personal freedoms ...

I said this the other day when they began whispering about doing away with the CCSA, it's just another opportunity for Prayut and his minions to press their thumbs down even harder on Thai society.

The only difference here is we won't have to wait for the periodic "Emergency Decree to be extended" announcement.

Every day will be an Emergency Decree day.
