Covid-19 daily infections in Phuket fell slightly to 219 today, while the death toll slowly climbs as one new fatality brings the total in the last 7 days to 11. Phuket has seen a total of 31 deaths from Covid-19 since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic at the start of April. People testing positive with ATKs, unconfirmed until tested with RT-PCR tests, 2 down 31 on yesterday.

Maybe because they stop testing …..

So does that mean 80%? or is that some threshold the powers won’t allow to be crossed. Perhaps we should stick with 79.999%+😉

As posted by the Phuket Government on their Facebook page 19 hours ago, 81.11%.

Like the 90 infections in one week which they ignored,

The limit of 80% of hospital beds being occupied has also be removed and reworded into a more vague qualification. In fact, all the criteria for revising or ceasing the Sandbox scheme have been laid out in very open-ended terms, with 3 points to consider. - Thaiger August 21st.

I do now wonder what this more vague qualification is.

I would like to know,if these daily new cases are all people who are unvaccinated   ??

Does unvaccinated mean no vaccines or does it also cover the people with 2 x Sinovac

More importantly who are being infected ? locals or Tourists. Did the Governor inform the people of Phuket that nearly 80% were inoculated a few weeks ago so the numbers being vaxxed should be even higher by now from that statement. If so how come infections are still rising, Deaths are rising and nearly all Hospital beds are being used.
