Thailand’s Food and Drug Administration is seeking more information from Pfizer about its Covid-19 vaccine, in the hope of granting it full approval shortly. The vaccine, along with the other Covid-19 vaccines in use in the Kingdom, currently only has emergency use authorisation. The US Food and Drug Administration recently granted the Pfizer vaccine fully approved status. The Bangkok Post reports that if fully approved in Thailand, the vaccine could be purchased by private hospitals without the involvement of government agencies like the Government Pharmaecutical Organisation. There has been widespread criticism of the government’s slow procurement of mRNA vaccines like […]

The Thai FDA no doubt is infinitely more advanced and sophisticated than other FDA's, who have already approved the vaccine. So, why should they take them at face value?

Although I do not trust any FDA, this is nothing more than a stage play, on the part of the Pratin clones.

Hmmm...let's have a think about this.....Pfizer is in high demand around the world at the moment....Thailand is in the grip of a Delta variant storm and they want to waste time on whether or not it works??? Thailand (as with so many other countries) no longer have the luxury of vacillating over this. Delays in getting this vaccine or any vaccine out to the people will result in deaths....

This approval comes just a day after the report that Pfizer's vaccine is not very effective for the Delta variety.

No, factually wrong.

It is more effective against delta than any other vaccine. But it reduces to about 75% after 90 days and 66% after 6 months. And it's then STILL more effective than other vaccines.

The point is that its effectiveness reduces, not that it's not very effective.

Let me guess... The FDA here is going to consider the same scientific data as the US FDA and they're going to apply the same criteria to consider approval.

Difficult...

Let me sleep on it...

Yet, they're already administrating Pfizer [emergency use] before official approval - as most did.

It is short of a theatre production.

Lower effectiveness.

The current studies show that the Pfizer vaccine decline from 94% [original strain] to 66% [Delta strain].

Kinda considerable.

Can't imagine what's to come from the new crop of nastier variants, a couple which might possibly be resistant to the original group of vaccines.

A world of hurt awaits.

Is so interesting for some who welcome US FDA approves the most famous covid-19 vaccine. Have friend who has worry over. Pfizer  and all other still not subject to long time data on effect, only  short term. Now Pfizer get full approval and so people seem happy. But my friend say there is possible problem that if is given first exclusive then can claim monopoly for use . Also can give authorities power to force  compulsory  vaccine.  No have, no life !

Hence, the promotion for the boosters.

Which will be outdated [in a few short months] for effectiveness by the time most receive them.

Maybe, maybe not. I prefer to envision a world where Covid just starts losing it's grip, and starts fading out, big time, with no more variants. After all 66% is alot better than 0%. There may not be anymore nasty variants.

Sometimes we can choose what to conceive of, what to believe, and what to fear, or not fear. The mind is a beautiful thing, as long as it is not busy creating Zombie Apocalypse scenarios.

I slept on it 😉

They will come to the same conclusion as the US FDA. The whole circus here is redundant in the first place after the rest of the world already decided!

Now that could make a difference and makes a great deal of sense, although it may take a while.

And this article gives the background for that shameful approval by the US FDA

But it seems the press did not do their homework re the PFIZER's covid-19 vaccine approval by the FDA.  A short clip with dr Robert Malone explaining the little trick the FDA played...

RanongCat, don't lose any sleep over reading an antivaxxers post.

Surely the science must be wrong after great results in 100's of millions of doses in huge numbers of people 😉

The anonymous man in the forum making all sorts of claims, not with the help of science but with the help of far-right and conspiracy websites knows better 😂

When you're sick or need medical advice, do you go to your doctor or do you ask BlueSphinx? 🤔
