Are the people who speak up about scams denied future work permits at times due to involvement of government officials in the scams themselves?

An interesting Q, for sure and on your debut post, too . . . thanks for that!

Hi are you able to send a private email or message as to who these developers are? I am just initiating a new condo purchase in Phuket and while I feel I have done some due dillegence on the agent and developer this video today has raised some concerns and any info would be appreciated. Thanks Steve

This is the best advert for NOT buying property in Thailand. Just RENT.

Don't even entertain a lease. Try and deal direct with the owner, and save the commission of 15/20% agents charge.

If there is, or you want paperwork,  sign NOTHING written in Thai. Get a lawyer who speaks, reads Thai/English.

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER part with money until all your I's are dotted and T's are crossed. When they are, walk away and think about it overnight. If happy, do your deal.

Remember you're in the driving seat. Don't ask them what they want, tell them what they're going to get.

All with big smile!
