Along with approving the extension, the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration also discussed initiatives to contain the virus and a potential “Thai Covid Pass” for vaccinated residents, with the possibility of easing measures for those with the pass. will be interesting how they issue the covid passes

Logically, they'll be issued to all 'official' residents with fully-vaxxed proof . . . but that's only logically, of course, which all too often appears not to apply in Thai officialdom.

"With this ‘Thai Covid Pass,’ it would be possible to enter into restaurants when they are open and conduct some activities which are not allowed for those who have not been vaccinated.”

Has anyone got the email for their vaccine appointment yet?

If this pass will be there for foreigners as slow as the vaccine, we will be able to go out in 3021.

I would question exactly whick vaxes are legit. Sinovax? I think not. Furthermore, it's pretty much a given that matter which vax you got, you can still be an asymptomatic carrier/spreader.

Just like Thailand to reinvent the wheel.

https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/2102771/thailand-adopts-use-of-jab-passports

They already have one for international travel. …… Does this mean it’s too hard to action to those that want to travel at present? Just think of the Student uprising, and all those not in Phuket or politicians, that have been denied by poor government planning and their inaction.

For all those with Sinovac that wants to travel outside of Thailand, do your research as although backed by the WHO, it is not a vaccine to enter some countries.

For the Current vaccine passport….
Six disease control officials meanwhile are now authorised to sign a vaccine passport when it is issued.

These officials are going to have wicked writers cramp. Just think how’s long it will take …

70 million / 6 = 11.67 million signatures each, just hope not a lazy one in the bunch. We all know how slow it takes to get a visa extension.

Maybe, but you can't expect the CCSA to remember that . . . it was all of a fortnight ago.

Tho in west like France they went total **** cops come to resteurants check ur papers.

I bet you it won't stop on taking ur vaxene getting ur passport, it will be endless vaxxenes or God knows what next to keep ur passport active.

Social scoring and cashless money in same app in future for sure.

1. get infected with virus, is only in night /curfew time
and in some provinces in restaurant, possible ?

and in some countries ( france, switzerland etc., with 1000s or more, protesters ),
and in some football stadium ( EU, 2021, england etc. ), virus not spread ?

most people are not sick from over, 20 000 daily reported people,
so lockdowns are good for ? to save few very old people ?

2. this is a smart virus, just attacks when nobody looks.
by the way, you have to get vaccines, for years.
see canada, 8 vaccines for 4 years, till 2024.

i guess, it will be 3 vaccine per year, or vaccines not work good,
so wait another 1-2 year. and anyway, not forget masks. :)

3. coivd pass will help, because not much tourists are here,
not much rich locals are here, and much people are scared,
so restaurants will be full, sure.
