Approval was received to begin testing on human subjects in September for a Covid-19 subunit vaccine created in Thailand by the Vaccine Research Centre of Chulalongkorn University and Baiya Phytopharm Company. The vaccine is the second to be racing to clear testing phases and be used to fight Covid-19 in Thailand. The other, an mRNA vaccine, is being developed by Chulalongkorn University with the assistance of Moderna’s Asian distributor Zuellig Pharma. " One benefit of the protein subunit vaccine is that the production can be adapted in order to fight all the different variants currently in circulation as well as future strains that have yet to mutate and emerge."

Now, that really would be something, if true.

Good luck with this.. I did read a long time ago subunit vaccines don't always produce a high level of antibody response.. let's hope this one is good enough ..

Now Thailand is getting Pfizer vaccines, I expect the leftover useless Sinovac  vaccine will be used up on the dirty, unwashed, Farrang expats.

But it's not. Because there are no significant differences in the "variants". Children and non-risk group peoples have NOTHING to worry about. WAKE UP!

Odd then that the Indian variant is wreaking so much more damage?

Children have died from covid and your non risk groups  (are young healthy doctors  ‘non risk group’?) have died from covid - in those cases I guess you’re right they’ve got nothing to worry about now as Covid has killed them!
