According to Australian media, the 27-year-old woman worked at Sydney's Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital for eight months.

However, the hospital only found out recently, she was not registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), which accredits medical personnel in Australia. Police in New South Wales are now looking into the matter.

A hospital spokeswoman stated in a statement that when authorities found out on Monday that an employee who started work in January was not accredited, they were "immediately removed from their duties." It went on to say that this person was "completely supervised" during their time at the hospital in south-west Sydney.

AHPRA has been notified of the incident, and Bankstown-Lidcombe is initiating an internal inquiry. According to 7News, the woman failed her final examinations and lied about her qualifications to secure a position as a junior doctor.

She could be charged with fraud, and no charges have yet been filed.

Sounds shocking on the surface. But the fact is that around the western world attacks are being made on merit hires and proper qualifications. I believe this is part of the drive for "equity".  Interesting to note that in Oregon, diplomas are now awarded to all students whether they can read or write or not. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize these uneducated kids will be granted pilots licenses or medical degrees by the same insane liberal rationale.

"The state of Oregon will no longer require its students to demonstrate proficiency in math, reading and writing in order to earn a high school diploma"

And here I thought that all those shops down Khao San road were closed due to lack of tourists. One Not so Junior Doctor fired, whole Hospital Human Resource Department dragged over the coals and then given the boot for not doing their job.

Would be interesting to know HOW they found out? Someone nark? How was this Doctors performance reviews over the last 8 months? Best of all the new junior doctors?

I can't help being reminded of "Dr John" in Pattaya a couple of decades ago.

A dual Swiss-Brit national, educated at Rugby, he was accepted for years as having been an eminent brain surgeon in Switzerland, a brigadier in the Swiss Army reserves, and was even consulted by one of the international hospitals in Pattaya.

After a decade or so, when his money ran out, he went back to England and was jailed for fraud for when he'd been the accountant for a firm of jewellers and had been fiddling the books.

Edit:

I forgot to add that on his return to Pattaya he was re-named "Jeweller John" 😂

You forgot to mention that it's a temporary measure because of the Covid situation and they have to come up with new graduation standards by 2022... Many other countries have done similar things.
