The government’s Covid-19 vaccine rollout encountered another hiccup at the weekend as 25 vaccination centres in Bangkok had to close due to a shortage of vaccines. And in a separate development, the Bangkok Post reports that bookings for Friday and Saturday were cancelled via the Mor Prom app, due to a technical glitch. On the same day they get 1.5 million made-for-profit Pfizer vaccines, they shut down 25 vaccine centres. This isn't a developing country, it's a banana republic.

Dunno, maybe they'll be short of bananas this afternoon?

The left hand does doesn't even know about the existance of the right hand, let alone what it's doing.

In a real-life crisis you need real-life leaders. This kind of situation is beyond the abilities of people who get into positions of wealth and power by birth or connections.

And this is happening on a global level - the abysmal standard of leadership, particularly in the otherwise 'first' world.

That is truly shocking, and yeah, Banana Republic is one was of describing it, tinpot dictatorship perhaps being another.
