A mate of mine Stuhan lot's of years ago Raced his Suzuki GT500 cc at race tracks. He was a clever lad for improving speed and performance. He had a brainwave of cutting Squares out of the side of the pistons saying it would lighten them resulting in quicker up n down firing inside the Barrel due to the pistons being lighter lol. It worked both pistons detatched from there Con-Rods and destroyed the Engine.

Love these stories

This was just the sweetest little bike ever from suzuki, 1 look at it and your hooked. The T/S 90 also had a t/c 90 version for off road riding with a lever on the engine casing allowing you to change the gear ratio. This little bike was a flyer and the power band from 5000 revs lifted the front end easily. 1 downside was top end failures, went through barrel's and pistons for a pastime,no wonder with such high revs all the time, great fun and no weight to it either. T/S100 was a bit of a failure, T/S 125 & 185 were much better.

I had one like this. Drove it in the winter as not to expose my  "big" bike to the salty roads ;-)

They had this distinguished sound due to forced air blown over the cilinder

Looks like an Velocette LE painted in plod colours circa 1966 .?

A friend bought an old police Velocette to rebuild. It was light blue. I can't remember the engine size, but I thought it seemed pretty small?

A couple of years ago I visited the USA and went to Springfield Armory, and also spent some time in the area, Springfield was also the birthplace of "Indian Motorcycles". The current Indian dealership had an open day, so there were a few classics dotted around, plus the Assistant Manager was a Thai girl!.

Here are some pics:

In north Kent the police ones were called noddy bike's.

I vaguely remember that, even though I'm from the midlands.
