"According to Asean Now, the Koh Samui district chief Theerapong Chuaychu expanded an original statement vowing prosecution of the venues that spread the virus, and suggested that identified partygoers would also be prosecuted."

If you wanna make sure people don't go testing, just announce that they will be prosecuted.

Btw Mr. Chief didn't you notice that this club was fully packed each and every night till 2-3 AM and serving alcohol for the last 2-3 months? Retroactive vigilantism, bravo.

And they think there are hordes of international tourists champing at the bit to fly to such a place.

The utter greed of those who see an official position as a means of muscle flexing and enriching oneself is just going to implode this country.

Half of the people who showed up for the free testing (Allegedly organized by the club owner for a PR stunt) never been to this club. Not to mention that people from the previous night's party were still sleeping when this testing took place at 1 PM.

there is only one way to put this pandemic in check is a total nationwide stay at home order, essential businesses means grocery stores  and medical facilities only.  wasted too much time already , Phuket Sandbox is a pipedream , why would any sane vaccinated tourist  want to come and be still be in quarantine +restricted to travel?

There is no angle here. :) Nor envelopes between family members.

BREAKING: Phuket goes into partial lockdown. Apart from a few exceptions, no-one is allowed to enter Phuket by land, sea or air from 3rd to 16th August. People arriving internationally via the #PhuketSandbox aren’t affected. They are also allowed to leave

Careful with your fake information. The czar already said 4 weeks or 6 at most.

Yes sure have to blame the readers if they read the old/wrong numbers from them and for that they have the fake news center. OK everybody has to inform himself daily or by hour what are the new numbers they anounce.

Luckily @Bookshe i live a remote bit of southern central Thailand 100Km south of hua hin

  • No neighbors for about 500m
  • empty beach 1 km walk away
  • nearest village  8km main town 15km
  • Dogs to keep away visitors

ok my apologies I will rephrase i can see no earthy reason i would want to go HKT or USM  now or even without covid

I still reman healthily skeptical about other tourists

Since they can control from now on what can be published, I wouldn't be surprised that Thailand will eradicate covid in a Guinness record time.

From an angle, the truth could be seen as reporting news or disseminating information that may frighten people. I might be wrong but the only people who look to be frightened are them.
