Even the Chinese have come clean and said the Sinovac is less than optimal and should be taken with another vaccine. I was calling Sinovac dirty dishwater in the other forum and was FIRMLY taken to the wood shed. I'm sorry, but that's exactly what it is. It was thrown together too quickly, not vetted properly, and has been shown to be the worst choice available - other than no vaccine at all.

They run it through filters first. It's quite clean.

Thai research ?????????????

Well yes you do have to wonder about the level of research expertise they really have compared to other countries, but guess only experts in those fields could determine that.

Your post is useful, Comrade. You need to cite your sources to truly make a difference.

Sources of what? I cannot share or link to sensitive info on a forum. I saw medical reports, not peer-reviewed papers.

You might want to consider who your audience is. You might want to consult The Chicago Manual of Style before you open your mouth and speak what is going to be unintelligible drivel to the people here.

Did you really invoke the CMS? In this forum? Seriously? LOOOOOL

The problem is the data from the trials have not been published and peer reviewed in a scientific journal so other Governments around the world are sceptical the same problem for Sinovac and Sputnik V it's not to do with who makes them it's up to countries own Theraputics departments to see the phase 3 trials the fact you skip that or data is absent is enough to stop the emergency use in these countries. So right now he can claim what ever but until the tests setup as was it double blind trial over how long was it carried out and how many of each age group was in it. Then publish results in a medical journal for peer review no one can be sure of long term side effects or long term antibody counts.

Seems to me that we repeatedly hear the cry "trust the science" but this is just further proof that "scientists", like politicians, are often bought and paid for! All my overlong life I've seen the likes of : "8 out of 10 dentists recommend ..." Marketing departments have been using the illusion of scientific proof to sell crap for longer than most of us have been on the planet! Snake oil salesmen! Before one can trust the science, one needs to be able to trust the scientist - and they're not easy to find! Big pharma has been buying allegiances for a long time with research grants etc! The flu epidemic a century ago killed millions and the vaccines still are not 100% effective (or anywhere close) but we are expected to believe that these ones work great after a year, especially when there's more money up for grabs that Bezos, Zuckerberg and the Telsa idiot combined! Or is it just that senility makes one over cynical???

Sinovac's inventor is in line for the Nobel Prize in medicine. This gentleman proves that guys like him might have high positions, but this is no indicator to either competence or indeed a high IQ.When will all these clowns realize that we need Pfizer or Moderna. The rest are placebos, more or less.Dirty farang should go home as well.

And all the climate alarmist "scientists" are such to gain favor in receiving grant money...proven. What percentage of our atmosphere is CO2? How much of that percentage is from man and how much is from nature? Water vapor is the dominant greenhouse gas...but they and the media won't tell you this. Go see for yourselves and you'll realize that scientists are sell-outs.

And I thought the government was monitoring Fake News. But then it isn’t “fake” if the government is spouting this same rubbish.

The evil Doctor Yong!!!

Thailand has come up with a new slogan, muppets not puppets.

Oh they have, have they? Do show us the research paper in an attachment? Including the part quoting 'dirty dishwater.'

The Chinese never shared any research paper on their original vaccine development so despite the WHO saying it was OK, the paper dealing specifically with 'dirty dishwater' that you seek will be even more difficult to find. However, they have admitted that the efficacy of their vaccines is substantially challenged by the Delta variant that is surging across China right now.

"Part of the challenge for Beijing is that the Chinese-made vaccines being used to immunize the country are not as effective against the Delta variant as other shots. The government says it has already administered about 1.69 billion doses. Health officials are now considering giving booster shots to people with compromised immune systems as well as older citizens. ..."

Here's more good news for the +39 nations that are drinking the Chinese Belt & Road Kool-Aid.

"China kicked off its vaccine diplomacy campaign last year by pledging to provide a shot that would be safe and effective at preventing severe cases of Covid-19. Less certain at the time was how successful it and other vaccines would be at curbing transmission.

Now, examples from several countries suggest that the Chinese vaccines may not be very effective at preventing the spread of the virus, particularly the new variants. The experiences of those countries lay bare a harsh reality facing a postpandemic world: The degree of recovery may depend on which vaccines governments give to their people. ..."

Hi Xaos,

The article referred their source as the Phuket News. I did also find a similar article in the Bangkok Post.

The Thaiger News topics are straight from their published editions and often sourced from other news articles like this once. Hence they may not necessarily have the links to supply.

Top Chinese official admits vaccines have low effectiveness

By JOE McDONALD and HUIZHONG WU  April 11, 2021

BEIJING (AP) — China’s top disease control official, in a rare acknowledgement, said current vaccines offer low protection against the coronavirus and mixing them is among strategies being considered to boost their effectiveness.

China has distributed hundreds of millions of doses of domestically made vaccines abroad and is relying on them for its own mass immunization campaign.

But the director of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Gao Fu, said at a conference Saturday their efficacy rates needed improving.
