Ratchada Thanadirek, a Deputy government spokesperson, says the vaccine has been developed by a Thai startup, Baiya Phytopharm Co Ltd. The Subunit vaccine provides 1 or more antigens to the […]

And they plan to test it on 100 people! That's tantamount to not testing at all. Pfizer,Moderna etc all had samples of 40 000 or more. Typical Thai opportunitism and obfuscation.

Unsurprisingly, the controllers in the west have been trying to keep any spotlights off of Novavax and their MSM PR departments won't even mention it.

Currrrious.

I would anticipate that given the level of medical innovations that this country is so famous for then this new vaccine will become as sought after as their cures for HIV and Ebola, very useful for their aspiring space adventures to Uranus

Do you think Pfizer, Moderna, etc, did their initial tests on "40,000 or more" without doing limited tests on 100 with half of them as a control group?

Seriously?

Maybe some more rational thought wouldn't go amiss .....

100 volunteers? Surely this is jus a phase 1 study.

Exactly - of course it is, @Tjampman, as is made clear in this and other reports.

That would put them at a similar level to Chulavax, which is an mRNA vaccine.

So who owns this company?

An extract from the link below "Baiya Phytopharm, Co, Ltd., a Thai startup linked to the CU Innovation Hub, the incubator setup by Bangkok’s well known Chulalongkorn University, received approval for a project to develop and produce biopharmaceuticals, including plant-based vaccines and therapeutic proteins, using molecular pharming technology."

It's part of Chula Uni.

They're developing two vaccines: one mRNA based, similar to Pfizer and Moderna, and this one, similar to Novavax.
