For people who wish to get a free Covid test at the Government Complex, they must register online first, says the National Health Security Office, today. The test will be the rapid antigen test. The testing location is on Chaeng Wattana Road and will be open until July 30. The hours are 8 am and 4 pm, but not on the weekend. Again, this government is only interested in Bangkok inhabitants.

1. Is this test acceptable to hospitals who currently require a PCR test for many procedures?

2. Is it acceptable for travel

3. What is the length of time it is valid for

4. Is there a document that we are given.

Currently, I don't see any pressing need for anyone to do a test if they are symptom free.

And if they do have symptoms, there are no viable treatments as ivermectin has now been shadow banned from pharmacies.

And hospitals are not admitting covid patients anyway 

 Anyone know what the point of taking a test could be apart from travel and access to non covid related hospital services?

Testing costs money??? Get with the program Thailand!!! If you don't test, you have no way of knowing how many cases are out there and where to position your resources and especialy your vaccines!! Testing has to be free of charge and open to everyone!! Be thankful that people are willing to come forward and get tested! How about an innovative idea! Test and then vaccinate at the same time!!! I think it's about time...18 months into this pandemic, that we actually learn from the experience of other countries.

Well, it would certainly be innovative, but I don't know what the point would be.

 

If they were positive then it would be a vaccine dose wasted, as it wouldn't cure or treat anything and they'd develop antibodies anyway, without the jab, and if they were negative why should they jump the queue?
