Tougher controls have now been introduced for domestic visitors to the Phuket Sandbox. Three more infections were found among tourists who arrived on the island yesterday, total six. The Public Health Ministry has approved in principle for rapid antigen tests to be made available for the public to purchase from Bangkok clinics and pharmacies. Surprise surprise, the Burmese military junta’s newly appointed “election commission” just turned in their fraud report uncovering 11 million cases of voter fraud across every corner of the country.

It’s inevitable that there will be positive cases in Phuket during and after “Sandbox”.  We need to be realistic that COVID-19 is with us everyday now.  With the vaccines that are now available, and no doubt more coming later, we need to focus on living life and try to return to normality, or whatever life and daily routine we had before COVID-19 gatecrashed our life! There have been some failures, with some more to come, yet let’s look where we are and where we want to go. We have lost loved ones during this COVID-19 era, yet we are still here, we are still alive and let’s not criticise for the sake of criticising; our scientists caused this Pandemic, our governments did their best, some did not show their best, but they tried their best. Things were pretty damn dark 12 months ago, some are going through hell with no income, no end of their hell on the horizon, yet it’s time to help your neighbour, friend or stranger. You can help with giving someone left over food, give them some food so they can feed their family, give some cash to those you know are struggling. Where is the favourite waiter or waitress in your favourite restaurant? Reality is that if anytime they needed your tip, it’s now. Reach out to them and give them something, as there are so many suffering in silence, yet we know they are suffering. You can help them suffer less, try and find them, give them the tip you gave before, but give it to them each and every month.  These people need our help, put cash in the hands of those that we know need it, and they need it now.
