Permits for Drone Flying in Thailand

To operate a Drone in Thailand you need to have the correct permits and if you are caught drone flying without these permits you will face large fines and even jail time.

For most camera drones, you need two registrations and they are filled and completed when you are in Thailand: One, from the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), which handles the frequencies used by the drone. Second, by the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), that registers all drone pilots.

You can download the form (which is available in English or Thai) from the CAAT website.

and this is why i sadly stopped doing drone stuff, just so much hassle and unnecessary red tape to use something so simple. Imagine needing a permit and paperwork to go play some football in the park

The real problem is all of the irresponsible people that fly drones close to the airport and military installations.
