Doing Phuket sandbox on July 31st But bough ticket to Bangkok. What now?

I didn't realize it at the time but I didn't know you had to book a flight directly to Phuket. I booked from LAX to Bangkok and was just going to take a connecting flight that cost about $40. My tickets are non refundable. Does anyone know if the country will allow connecting flights to Phuket from Bangkok before July 31st? I can't just change the destination as this carrier does not have a direct flight to Phuket. Any advice would be fantastic.
