Chakkaphan cited the cannabis rules and regulations set by the Ministry of Public Health, namely that selling and smoking cannabis in public places is against the law.

I can't but help trying to use logic here: Does that mean that selling and smoking cannabis in private is not against the law?
Get the dope seller round to your room, buy it and smoke it there.
Or is this where my theory falls to the ground?

Only problem is that you may still have to go out when you get the munchies. Food delivery driver brings KFC with special herbs. Yes… this is a good thing.

Reminds me of Happy Herb Pizza in Phnom Penh years ago. You could order it normal, happy, or extra happy.

It’s just turning out to be a big joke in a sense. Sort of like the Thai Smile. Is it really a smile?

I remember them. I may have even been there once, but it must have been more than 10 years ago as I don't recall it very well.

Do you know if they're still in business?

What a joke this place is. Thailand seems to always look for the quick buck, however, this lastest stupitity will cost them dearly in the long run.

Based on what the actual law says, it's not illegal to do either. If someone calls and complains about your smoking it being a nuisance to them, then you can be subjected to fines based on the public nuisance law. I'd suggest not believing most of what's posted on National Enquire'esq media sites.

Legit ganja dispensaries are being licensed and exist today. Selling on the street without a lisense is illegal. Smoking in public is illegal. Smoking in your own home is not.

OK, that's interesting.
Don't forget here those at the top will make up their own rules, irrespective of the law:

In June 2014 we had our illustrious leader hating George Orwell's 1984, with those reading it charged with 'eating a sandwich with political intent'.

You wait. They wont care. The government will see how much money they can rake in from taxing sales of Cannabis. Once they realise there is HUGE money to be made, there will be no going back. There is no way they will ban recreational use. Once legislation is in place to make sure sales are restricted to adults only, and only from licensed dispensaries. Further restrictions are very unlikely. Cannabis Tourism in Thailand is about to take off in a big way. You watch. The Amsterdam of Asia. The gov are going to be making serious bank. The amount of money they will be raking in will blind them to any problems that come from this.
