The number of locals planning their vacations is predicted to spike for the first time since the pandemic broke out over 2 years ago. The President of the Tourism Council of Thailand, Chamnan Srisawat, predicts there will be a high number of Thai nationals travelling domestically in the third quarter of 2022 thanks to the easing of restrictions and regulations since the beginning of July. obviously these are all locals without kids unless your talking about the weekend, the next school holidays are october

COVID surely did suck for us, but it did provide a much needed rest for Thailand's remaining natural habitats and ecosystems.  Enjoyed seeing a few articles and commentary along the way that wild animals in Khoa Yai National Forrest, for example, were cautiously reclaiming areas previously infested by an invasive species - humans.
