News Forum - Bangkok gets 20 new electric buses next week
Thank God for that, because electricity is "clean" energy. Well, that is true for the colossally ignorant. Where does electricity come from? It comes from turning things in magnetic fields, and how do we turn things? We turn things from heat, we make steam. How do we make steam? We burn things. Like coal. It's true we can also turn things from kinetic energy like tides or from wind energy from windmills. But the most efficient way to turn things is from nuclear energy (make a small bomb = heat) and from coal. -

Ukraine/Russian Conflict - General Discussion
Stalin presided over ten million dead Soviets by intent or negligence. Maos brand of communism 40 million ? Lenin terror was integral to his philosophy since 1890 or so and nothing to to with bolsheviks. Fascism is identified and rejected by western mainstream. Opposite in Russia where fascism is state ideology willingly digested by ignorant deluded population. many symbols taken from source and used elsewhere. Swastika one example, comes from India, adopted by Nazis.- 1

Ukraine/Russian Conflict - General Discussion
Russia rebuffs calls to allow access to Ukraine nuclear plant: Russia has said it will not yet allow international inspectors to access Europe’s largest nuclear power plant despite fears over the state of the Ukrainian facility under Moscow’s occupation. However Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s envoy to international missions in Vienna, told the Izvestia newspaper in an interview published on Friday that a visit by Grossi could not take place before “the end of August or early September”. Russia has already rejected demands to demilitarise the facility. https://www.ft.com/content/2c4c917d-1cb9-4689-9795-f0673b89e827 Actions speak louder than words, goes double for Russia. -

You have the access to the nuke plant wrong. Russia has offered the IAEA access to the plant however Ukraine refuses the access for fear it will legitimise Russian control of the plant (or some such rubbish). In June, Ukraine's state nuclear company said Ukraine had not invited the IAEA - and any visit would legitimise Russia's presence there https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-62412429.amp -

Of course, if you are not challenging the fundamental interests of the ruling class, then you are not being persecuted like Assange. The ruling class is trying to retain its privileges, in the West it is stronger, so it can allow elements of democracy to the plebs.
