A woman in Chon Buri has jumped from her balcony last night to escape her boyfriend, who she claims held her against her will in an apartment for about a year. Rescue workers took the 28 year old woman to a local hospital for moderate injuries after she jumped from the third storey balcony. But Nong Prue police told The Pattaya News that they are not completely convinced of the woman’s claims. Yes, if your boyfriend has a padlock on the outside of his door, remember, he could lock you inside!  

Speculating as this seems the only way he could have "held her" in his room

Maybe one of those doors that require a key to lock/unlock.

Lock the door, remove the key, no exit.

Just more speculation.

Did not know about those...Double-Key deadbolt, available on Lazada for 300 baht!  

Double key deadbolt:  It's a deadbolt that locks from the inside and the outside with a key. This means if the door is locked, there's no getting in or out without a key.

Not buying this storey if any indication of the picutre being real. If he left and went out it would be easy for her to call out for help no problem unless she is mentally challenged.

Exactly my point. She may not have been able to get out the (locked)door.
