I disagree (which is a nice way of saying you're wrong), as that promotes setting the police above (and hence unaccountable by) the law. In this case: (Section 208) Whoever, wrongfully dressing or using the symbol manifesting that oneself to be Buddhist monk or novice, holy man or clergyman of any religion so as to make the other person to believe that oneself to be such person, shall be imprisoned not more of one year or fined not more of two thousand Baht. Give a penalty (or don't) to the officer but the real case should be dismissed to set boundaries to what is allowed in police work. If the line is allowed to get too thin/vague, we'll have things like arbitrarily tapping lines and planting drugs before you'll know it ;-) -
