Prosecutors are delaying the indictment of the 6 suspects facing charges in the now infamous drowning of Thai actress Nida Patcharaveerapong, or ‘Tangmo’, until the end of June. Tangmo’s body was found in Bangkok’s Chao Phraya river in February after she had been on a boat trip with 5 of the suspects. The details the suspects provided on how Tangmo died have been highly disputed and questioned, to say the least. Last month, police chief Lt. Gen. Jiraphat Phumphichit announced that police had ruled out murder. Instead, they ambiguously concluded that the actress’ death was caused by the “recklessness” of […]

Have a feeling it will be many years before this one is put to rest.

How many years ?

Answer.

What is the Thai statute of limitation on each charge ?

They may throw the boat owner and "supposed" driver under the bus, but the rest will walk.

Seems like the prosecution is still not happy with the investigation or the police conclusions and subsequent charges.  Perhaps too many unanswered questions or conflicting answers leaving too many escape routes for the involved. Prosecution must accept the case and agree to prosecute it before it ends up in court. This case was already been sent back to the cops once. It is the prosecutions job to ensure the charges are adequate and that they can be made to stick. Slow and steady is better than the case falling apart in court and then a deal being made between a frustrated judge and relieved lawyers. This case isn’t going away as long as some social media users burn a candle for Daeng Mo.

Rumours abound and if even 10% is true then a major conspiracy requires exposure.  2 very senior officials have been named as complicit, in Thai social media, and it is now rumoured that the retired lawyer who has been investigating on behalf of the truth, has been offered a large brown envelope.

Thais, via social media, are calling for the truth to be heard and heads to roll.  This groundswell is massively against the RTP and Government, a potential bonus for Prayuth s political opponents unless handled judiciously.
