News Forum - Foreigner faces prison for Parrotfishing in Thailand
I'm not siding with the police here but there maybe a reason (although flawed) that foreigners are pulled over more often than locals. First foreigners may not understand some of the driving laws that are special to Thailand, e.g. if you come from a left hand drive country to here you may have some problems adjusting to the driving here. Another thing is in the event of an accident getting compensations is easier if the party at fault is a local with an address compared to say a foreigner who may leave soon. -

News Forum - Virologist predicts most of Thailand will have had Covid by 2023
We had 2 Astrazeneca jabs back in April/June last year, have lived here since August 2021 and have been living a normal life, we no longer wear a mask, I have a terminal illness so have a very compromised immune system, neither of us have contracted covid, not sure how, but we're 67 and 59, make of that what you will. -

Ukraine/Russian Conflict - General Discussion
After all, President Putin has banned & jailed his political opponents, practiced cronyism, censored media, closed TV stations, enforced bans on teaching Ukrainian history in Ukraine, propagated mistruths to garner public global sympathy & support, misrepresented political & military realities and that is just his public persona. And so he should because all is fair in love and war! Fixed it for you. Oh that's right he has also had tens of thousands murdered for personal gain. The theory has been Putin might use a tactical nuke if things started going bad. Kind of a warning to the west to back off and allow him to finish the job. How much better to shell a nuclear reactor and cause just enough damage to effect the same result (and getting to blame Ukraine to boot). Only problem is it will probably lead to the same result which isn't what Putin wants. Still it would be par for the course as all his other plans have boomeranged on him. Why not this one too.- 1
