News Forum - South African’s life sentence reduced to 33 years for drug trafficking in Thailand
True and a waste of a life. But she admits (unless I've misread it) that she knew what he was up to. She also knew what in Thailand anything connecting you to drugs leads to. What's done is done, I just hope she doesn't have to do the full term. -

News Forum - Tourists by locals in Bangkok: mad, bad, and dangerous to know
Considering how oblivious Thais are to the cultures, customs or even the geographical location of most countries, I find it mildly amusing that they would get so upset about tourists not understanding their unique concerns about spirit house etiquette etc. They should be happy the hoards will soon be back to be fleeced, scammed and robbed en masse again. -

News Forum - Ferocious cobra bites rescuer’s girlfriend in Chon Buri
Hope she recovers quickly without any serious consequences but kudos to her and her partner for rescuing the cobra, lots of people get bitten when trying to kill a snake. Unless they are in your home it’s always best to leave them alone, which is all they want, biting humans is a waste of valuable resource as they need their venom to secure their food.
