An 8 year old girl was seriously injured after she was attacked by her family dog at around 4pm yesterday in Samut Prakan province, central Thailand. The child said she was skateboarding in the kitchen when the Pit Bull – Thai mixed breed dog suddenly got up and repeatedly bit her head and hands. Grade 3 student Apichada Khampan was found sitting on a paint bucket in a pool of blood at her family home in Phra Samut Chedi district yesterday evening. Sometimes kids  “ innocently “ abuse dogs ! Dont know what really happened with the skateboarding in such close quarters (kitchen).

That being said.The dog needs to be put down

You don't know what really happened.

8 year old skateboarding in the kitchen.

How big is the kitchen.

Maybe the kid smacked the dog with the skateboard

I currently own a full bred pitbull.

She is the sweetest loving dog who loves people.

You may well have, but they are a fighting breed, which is  on a knife edge of control and numerous cases in UK, here and world wide show that they can be dangerous, vicious and unpredictable.  I love dogs, I have two Shih Tzu's, but I would not let any breed of fighting dog anywhere near my family, or my dogs. The fact that you state that she may have hit the dog with her skateboard, which is absolutely no excuse for the dog's actions, says a lot. I have accidently trodden on my dogs on rare occasions, they may yelp, but then come for a cuddle of reassurance, they would not retaliate.

They get along great with each other.

Dogs take on the personality of its owner.

Dogs can get belligerent of any breed. The dog and its age and her being a young kid and her skateboarding may have been contributing to all of the above.

I have 2 dogs here. French bull dog and a Beagle, but there is no way I would let my wifes sister's kids be alone in a room with them or playing out in our yards all alone with especially the Frenchie.

I was attacked by an American Pitbull in Udon Thani many years ago, whilst out in a park adjacent to the Soi where I was living. Fortunately I was next to a small lake and jumped in before it could do any real damage. If it had followed me, then I would of drowned it. Time the Thai Government banned this dangerous breed.

If you own a dog and you are outside, put a lease on the dog.

Where was the owner of the dog Bobbyj?

You can get attacked by any dog that is not controlled by the owner.

There are to many dogs in Thailand running around without any owners.

Maybe owners don't care.

After first unprovoked attack any dog must be destroyed but this is not the practice here. 

There is one MASSIVE Pitbull on our Hill who constantly attacks strangers unrestrained. Police Told / Nothing Done. Local Hospitals do a roaring trade with savaged foreign hill walkers.

My father trained killer dogs in the Army. He would NEVER have them living with Humans.

Bottom line

Dogs outdoors should be on a leash.

You train a dog to be aggressive then it will be aggressive.

Pitbulls, Rollweilers, German Shepards, Pugs, Chihuahuas

And even more sadly, many bitches can be(come)worse than dogs...like during divorce proceedings and custody egomania.

Hope the little girl heals quickly, without any future PTSD.

If I had to lay my head on the line, I think without fear of contradiction it would be safe to say that I fancy my chances more with a Chihuahua savaging me than a Pitbull.

Being chased by some big dog is terrifying. Once, when I lived in Trat, I had to pick up someone from the bus station around 1:00 at night and used my bicycle. It was this small BMX. 

I rode it past a few dogs and suddenly they started running towards me. I almost left a trail of shit on the road. 😂

      First aftershave and Favourite past and now.

      Thought this might be a of fun when. When started going out first what aftershave did you wear for me it was Brut or if I got paid id splash out on Old Spice.       Russia v Ukraine - How This Is Going To End

      I think we are talking about degrees of difference. When I say the US isn't running this war, I mean they are not making the decisions about how this war will progress. What brigades will go where, if a Russian general dies today, and if and when it will end. Do they help, certainly. Do they tell Ukraine where the Russian generals are when they find them, yes. When Russia is moving major troops yes. Where the Russian ships are, yes. It wasn't a coincidence there was a US Global Hawk flying around the Russia tug that was hit and sunk a week or so ago. That said, Ukraine knows a lot more about what Russia is doing than just what they find out from America. I just think the "implement" part is decided on by Ukraine, not the US. It's hard not to look at how tentative Biden is toward Ukraine, and not think he is purposely keeping an arms length in the war. Doesn't seem to be much of an issue in Kherson. Agreed, but it's a meat grinder for both sides. Russia still needs to assault defended lines each time, and they get butchered. The type of grind Russia is doing is more of a meat grinder to it's men than those of Ukraine. That's why armies like movement, it flips that dynamic.

      Russia v Ukraine - How This Is Going To End

      The most in demand people in Ukraine now would be translators fluent in English and Ukrainian. Do you think Ukraine owns a spy plane? Or they just know where all those Russia generals are at any time? Of course Ukraine and the US must down-talk that help. There must be a big office, most likely in Poland or Germany, where NATO and Ukraine military planners are based to create, implement and monitor plans. That is just common sense. Russian artillery would weigh the battles in their favor. It has been a comparatively long time between happy snaps of Russian destroyed equipment. The UAF would struggle to get near the Russians. The UAF can only withdraw so far until they are forced to draw the line, fight and withdraw to regroup again. Meat grinder time. The tanks are a mystery for us but not the Ukrainians. They know where the Russian tanks are. According to Ukraine the front line is 2,500kms long. Deploying a tank every kilometer equals a lot of tanks? Snake Island for the Russians was like having a demanding mistress. Nice to have and fun while it lasted but too much like hard work.
